Went to Home Depot tonight to get some boxes for a move and pulled up to the light. One of those new(owner reg in the right front window) Dodge stationwagons pulls up on my left. It looks nice, I've got my window down, so I look over. It says "Hemi" on the badge so I says to self. Self here's your chance so I punch it up to level5 and think "What the hell". The road we're on goes from 2 to 1 lane about 800 feet past the intersection. I don't even have enough time to build boost when the light goes green. I nail it and so does he. Well when my lane ends I had about 15 feet on him at 80 mph (I know, I know that too fast) so I put my blinker on and get out of it. He see's me coming over and gets out of it too. We both slowed to 60 and he stayed well behind for another couple miles until my turn off. He pulls up next to me and does not look over no matter what. ):h

I gotta tell ya, It's nights like this that I don't mind making the payment and It's nights like this that he regrets his.:ro)

Nelson, truly nice car. I'd have to agree. You'd probably take the win light in the 1/4 even against the GN. Then again it's set up for open road time trials like the Silver State classic in Nevada. It's kinda nice to have a car that will run 150 all day long, take a corner, stop on a dime, and still mosy down the 1/4 in alittle over 10 seconds. Again nice stang though. Ohh, as for wild rides there is the other toy.

Z71Grizzly, It's actually a handbuilt frame with warrior plastics and a 250 rear carrier. The motor is an Suzuki GS 1150 pushed out to 1230 cc with JE pistons, webcams and a falicon crank. The turbo is a garrett T25. It's small but spools up instantly. At 13 lbs of boost we figure its good for about 240 hp on C16. If you really like'em go to www.monsterquads.com (http://www.monsterquads.com) I wish I could take credit for building it but I can't. The guy who did is in the process of building me another. This time it'll be a banshee with a Kawasaki ZX12 motor and maybe alittle squeeze.):h ):h His own bike is an old kawasaki Fatcat two wheeler with an FJ1200 motor in it.

Kelanshuster, Get the edge. I'm sure there are as good or better boxes out there but for the performance and safety it's probably the best of both. Just my .02

Now to clear some things up I currently own a 99 Cobra and a 03 1500 SS - I had an 03 Lightning and traded it for a 03 ZO6 which I traded for the 03 1500 SS (divorce) ...

The ZO6 would beat the Cobra I currently have but not by much.

The 1500 SS is all show, no go and is getting traded for the 05 2500HD Dmax LT I currently have on order. Sorry for any confusion created by my misguided ramblings...:lol: However, not quite as bad as Mr. Nelson I'm afraid:p:

ok-if you posted as a chevy guy I would not have been so bash oriented,but your cobra thing amazed me with the #s,you cannot get those kind of #s without blowers and such,so my point is still,as it has always been,chevy beats the compitition-hands down,in normally aspirated engines,meaning ford,for instance,always uses after market parts to get there #s,I will debate this issue over a couple a beers any time-no offence-mr. cobra-----you got a real handle on raceing fords,but the price of your ride deserves some comments-I am glad you responded-most guys dont ,but Ill still stand by my opinion too!!....lets keep this a formal debate, with no probs....and Iam in-michael-
