Not sure if this is the right place to post it, so mods feel free to move this if necessary but how hard would it be to swap an LB7 into a '78 style Chevy truck. I know the electronics would make it the hardest part. How complicated of a procedure would this be? Just had a thought, I've got a mint truck with a bad 350 in it.

Not withstanding the whole electronics issue, some serious frame and suspension mods would be required as well. I assume you would swap the Allison or the stick in with it from a doner vehicle.

LB7 will bolt right up to any GM bellhousing, not sure that you'd want to run say a TH400 or SM465 but it will bolt up.

i remember reading of some stand alone box to run a duramax in projects like what you've mentioned.

maybe somone else can chime in...
