has any one tried the calculator yet , i tried it just now and the number seem low compared to what i have been running on the same tune withh good results, the tune in question has a pusle width of around 3000 peak with a injection pressure of 25200 and it calls for a peak timing of 26.2 deg at 4000 rpm i have been running around 28 deg at around 3400 rpm's with no nock or anything have i been way off, i know others tuners are running similer timing . is this what others have found with using calculaters ?

i have been running the table created by the 50/50 converter for hp and the table that it creates is good, it does not maximize egt reduction but its probably good for most cause they seem to be safe #'s those of you who have not tried it yet give it a wirl :D still have more tunes to try but its worked good on my hot tune :) suprizingly it was not that far of from my long form skip a few rows and fill in the main rows of the efi timing caculator to get the peak injection timing and then blend down to the lower levels . trust me this new caculator is much easier :D

Good to here that it's working out for you! As I stated before, I haven't had an opportunity to use the new sheet but I hope to. I have very limited diesel tuning knowledge and experience, but I have been studying up and hope to do one soon. Maybe you could share a few solid tunes with me sometime so I can get a better understanding. :)

where is the calculator located? I am new to EFI Tuning and really want to learn how. I can do simple changes but I have no clue what I am doing with fuel, pulse-width and timing.
Im running it with one of my tunes on my work truck.I havent tryed it on one of my hot tunes yet, but Seems to be doing fine. The timeing dose seem to be low. I dont know. I dont have my scanner working properly,but Bill is helping with that.

You need to use the one for EFI-Live.... They are setup different so you want to make sure you use the one for EFI-Live. Search for it under the EFI Live forums and you'll find the link. I think it might be a sticky in the EFI live forums. The HP Tuners format is different so it wont work the same.

i will post up a couple of tunes when i get home, if you go in the tune library i have a race tune and a tow tune posted , i have revised them so they are much better now, but they are still solid tunes but if you compare to stock tune you should she were they have been manipulated , i have an awsome tune i'm working on now that is around 450-500 hp i'm hoping and have got it almost smoke free only time it smokes it 1 large puff right at turbo light only about a secound but it pours for a secound getting close but its a long proscess .

Actually, the "HP Tuners" calculator will do both. I only added conversion tables to the original "EFI Live" format sheet.
The HP capable version can be found using the link from the "Sticky" above.
Also, don't forget that you can control the percent fuel injected BTDC by entering a percent value at the top of the calculator page.
For example: 50 = 50/50 (BTDC/ATDC)
40 = 40/60
70 = 70/30
20 = 20/80
and so on...

Crash,
Try downloading it again. I saved it as an older version and re-posted it. Let me know if that helps.
