I am thinking about getting certified as a diesel mechanic. I have been told the demand is high and the money is good. If anyone here has any input about the job, what it is like, what it pays, what it takes to get certified, etc.....I would really appreciate the input. Is it a good job in general? My brother made good momey as a diesel mechanic for cummins out in dallas someplace. He know works for UPS as a mechanic, but really does nothing with a diesel know, unlike cummins. I do know when he worked for cummins he was making $50,000 plus a year. He also lives in Denton, if you would like to talk with him let me know. He could give you more advice than I ever could, since I dont turn wrenches for a living!
