Ok, I am going to put a LB7 down pipe on to replace my LLY converter pipe.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I need the fingers stick to keep my computer from throwing codes, right?
The EGR blocker plate is a separate issue all together and has nothing to do with the exhaust modification above , right?
I have heard discussion about needing to reflash after doing the fingers stick, is this correct? If so why is this needed?
Just trying to understand this before doing it.
Thanks all for your help, Love this Place!

My truck without the finger stick and blocker plate only threw a code once after I took out the CAT. I erased it and it never came back. You probably won't need the finger stick unless you plan on blocking the EGR with a plate. I never had the reflash done and my truck runs fine with the finger stick and blocker plate. I haven't seen anything that relates to what the reflash fixes and the finger stick. Good luck and have fun.

It varies from truck to truck. Truely free flowing exhausts almost always set codes. The best thing to do is install the exhaust and see if it codes. If/when it does, there is a cure.

have a question.... what are the warranty problems will this have? does it affect the life of the engine? i am reading everything and just want to make sure that i will not cause any different kinds of problems for the truck itself. i just feel the more educated i can make myself the better off i will be when im ready to do this install.
