Looking at heaths website trying to spend a little mad money earned from scrap metal. I was curious what the best combination of toys to get. The things i was looking at were

PCM HP4 79hp 171#'s $499
H/O Injectors 43hp $609

I already have a 4" exhaust and 3"dp that just hasn't been installed yet.
and also i wanted to know if i needed the heavy duty lift pump or not.

I already have a high performance air filter and mech wastegate control, boost and a pyro guage.

See anything out of line or know of a more cost efective way?

The way i see it when i'm done this truck will have just as much, if not a hair more hp and torque than a stock lmm dmax. 312hp and 556#'s at the flywheel

thanks in advance
Joel

Ricer math. You'll only get about 250 flywheel HP with bolt-ons. AFAIK, nobody has made 350+ RWHP without drugs or 18:1, or some other one-off modification. I hope I'm wrong, but haven't seen anything to make me believe so yet.

As far as injectors versuse chip/reflash, it is said that injectors need a chip/reflash to reach their full potential.

i believe 300 HP at the flywheel is possible, not at rear wheel except with drugs :D, but flywheel yes.

didn't Ian from heaths hit 305hp at the wheels. but his cocts for the mods is better than our price. employee discount. if i recall didn't he run propane or nitrous on the dyno. i think when i get my water meth up and running i'll post THE PAPER it is written on. not just the numbers. b&d in abbotsford says 100.00 to run on the dyno. Yes, Ed. Ian was right around 303RWHP with drugs. IIRC, the "M" in WMI, NOS, and 'pane.

And 300 may be possible at the flywheel with bolt-ons, but that's really pushing it, since the most anyone's dyno'd with bolt-ons (that I've heard of) has been 212 RWHP, roughly 262-302 at the flywheel.

How about the lift pump? Is the stock one i have sufficient or do i need the hd version?

I bet you'll need the HD version. Test yours. If you drop to less than about 4 psi at WOT, you'll drop to squat with a chip. Mine went to zero after I put the max-e-tork 2.0 in it.

I just got an email and he (ian) said that those numbers i added up should be right on.

it's one thing to have hp at the flywheel but what are you gonna lose in the drivetrain. i don't know what you lose, but if 20% you'd be looking at 240hp at the wheels. if you do more ricer math, the propane, nitrous and w/m Ian has would have to equal another 85hp then take away 20% for drivetrain loss and arrive at 303hp or thereabouts at the wheels. i have no idea what hp i am at. one day soon i'll dyno it. till then i assume i have 250hp. at the wheels. I'd skip the Injectors,, for now,, and do the H/D Pump, and then spend some cash on a Intercooler set up. But if you do change out your injectors,,, I'd be interested in them,,, as they have half the miles mine have =)

I'd like to do what turbine doc did with the mitsubishi turbo eventually.
