I'm just wondering if I'm the only person that has had problems with the factory springs sagging, from pulling heavy trailers.
On my 02 (3/4 ton) the springs needed to be re-arced and heat treated. I added an extra leaf and some timbren rubber rides, and never have had another problem pulling the same loads since.
I have been pulling the same trailers with the same type of loads with my 04 (1 ton), and the main leaf pack is sagging. I had put the timbrens on the first week that I got the truck. The truck is now riding on the over load springs and the timbrens full time, this without a trailer hooked up.
I'm now headed to the suspension shop for a re-arc and heat treating that should have come from the factory to begin with.
In trying to generate a quality riding vehicle, GM has removed the HD from the rear suspension.
