anybody know of the power and torque of the stock 6.2 and the 4.3 v8 diesels please, as i`m in the uk some even basic info is thin on the ground..anyway i would rather find out from the guys who use these everday..thanks from the UK

Stock 6.2 C engine was about 135 HP and 280 trq. Stock J engine was from 145 hp to 155 hp (late production) and about 310 trq. C engines were in 1/2 ton trucks and J engines in trucks with over 8600 GVW.:rolleyes:

thanks for that, but what about the 4.3 v8?? have bothe the 6.2 and the 4.3 installed in Range Rovers, they go really well compared to what we get ie 2.5/2.8 turbo diesels...
the reason i ask is i am thinking of putting the 4.3 in my range rover/ landrover hybrid which currently has the 3.5 v8 petrol in, 12mpg at £3.60 a gallon hurts on long trips, but does sound great though....
