Guys I was wondering why there is all the extra "plastic plenum" between my stock air filter and the actual intake. I figure it has to be there for a reason, but I'm not sure why. I know I have heard about people taking it off and running their own hose to the intake, but what is the advantage of doing this? Also, in the threads that talk about turbos I keep seeing "IIRC"...what does that stand for?
