A buddy of mine has an 04 LB7. He is running the Juice and attitude. The other day when he was playing around on level 5 he said his truck bucked, and locked in 4th gear. So he went down the road, and put it in park. Shut the motor off, and started it right back up. It went in all gears again, and off he went. So he came over and told me. We went out, and ran it down the road in level 4 and no problems. Put it back in level 5 and and tried to pass a car, and it did it again. What is this truck doing. I am not familiar with this?

Limping.............it was stuck in 3rd not 4th gear...it is a fail safe built into the transmission.
If you don't give the tranny time to learn it will do this..........
Stay out of Level 5 or order a tranny/tranny kit.........

Well thats thew thing. His juice said 4th gear. This truck has 12,000 miles on it never been pulled at all. Mine loves level 5. Is there that much difference in trannys?

When I limped mine the attitude also showed that the truck was in 4th gear, but I know I limped it that time.

Probably just different driving characteristics. Every tranny is different also. I have heard a lot of people limping it in level 5. Also have heard that after you limp it the first time it will just keep getting easier to limp. Tell him to find a trans. shop and do some upgrading...or knock the juice down a level or two.
