Ive got the quad 215 and Hot OJ running on my truck and it seems like even if you turn the OJ down to stock...it sounds like something is rattling in the motor at different positions of the throttle. Im guessing the tune is changing the way the injection pump works. Granted I've got a Holley Black Pusher pump to get put in this week to ease the surging until the injectors are in. I don't know what this would be but its just at different positions of the throttle and it sounds like its rattling apart. It really sounds like the motor is out of oil and running dry it rattles that bad but then when its doing it...you give it a little more...it goes away untill another point. It just doesn't seem right but wow...besides those little sounds....will it run:grd: !! So anyone out there that has stacked these two ever had this prob let me know or any ideas would help.

You are hearing a rattle from too much timing..........even with the EDGE set to level 1 or off it still adds timing.......

That is a common occurance when stacking those two........

I sold it to him it is the newest version 1.23

i had that version and it didnt make any funky noises. i tried 1.21 and 1.23 which they say you can stack i believe and it didnt work for me. but however, it was the best sounding version i had tried.

So you had no probs with your stack of these two. Ive heard from many that these two have stacked really well in the past so didn't know if I needed a different version or what. Power wise....these two were absulutely incredible power wise. Any help would be appriciated.

1.21 was the worst for bursting-you can see this in my dvd ):h , sorry for the plug. 1.23 still bursted, but only when on the street. that version just didnt sound the same. didnt seem like it reved up as much, sounded dogier. thats when i talked to mike and he set me strait ;)

You sent it to quad and had it updated after buying it from me in that short of time? It was 1.21 when I sold it to you...?

Yeah, my computer on my truck absolutely wouldn't let me put it on my truck. Some computer problem, I tried everything to get it to work but nothing did the trick. I couldn't get it to work so I had it quad reflash it and it still didn't work so they sent me a brand new one and it didn't work. I even had the computer reflashed on my truck. So I decided that if I had to buy a new ecm anyway that I was going to get the tts xtreme.

You made the right choice. I just wanted to make sure the unit didn't give you problems. It took me six Quad tuners to finally get that one which worked on my truck.

I don't think that it was the tuner I think it was just the truck computer, if I had thought you ripped me off I would have let you know. Everybody says to get the tts so I decided I had better get it.
