Look for your starter then go towards the oil pan closer to the front of the truck.

Yeah, Pull the plug that points right at the exhaust pipe, thats the one.... My 04 the oil misses the pipe by 1/2", I had an 01 dually with the 6.0 and the oil came out and hit the pipe dead center, I'd have to cover all the ground under the truck with card board before starting an oil change because when you pulled the plug and the oil hit the pipe it fanned out and sprayed everywhere. (pretty stupid design)

I found if I leave the oil cap on the motor while draining it slows down enough to miss the exhaust. There are easier ways to do things-just takes a few changes to find the out. Mine also used to drip all over the skid plate, so I just put a rag there now. Nice and clean every time.

Just an FYI if that transmission pan drain plug is like the one on the 4L60E's you more then likely will never get it out. I swear the head of that plug is made out of lead its so soft and it sticks up about .001 of an inch. The only one I've ever gotten out was one I welded a nut to after the pan was off and impacted it out.
