Well Sat. I test drove an 02 Extended Cab 4x4 LB7 allison with 26,000 miles on it. I drove it for about 30 min. Arent these motors rated at 300 HP. Well I gave her hell it just didnt feel like it had it I dont know what it was. Also the Allison shifted real hard from 1 to 2 gears after that was butter smooth. I am looking for an older style with low miles. Any input on this I think they wanted 28,900 for it.

Too much money. Any mods? Good low miles but IMO too much $$.

I bought mine back in July 04, it had 16,000 on it and I paid around 27,500. They sold it to me for the price they gave the owner before because he knew me. And I thought that was a good deal. At the time it booked for about 30,500. I guess it would all depend on the shape its it. But you may be able to find 05 with 0% interest for the same monthly price.

I bought mine Friday. Its an 02 with 58k miles. Looks new honestly and they put new tires on it. I paid 25,500 for it. Just like Kurt I know the dealer pretty good and he wanted my other truck.

Even with no mods you probably didn't realize how quick the truck actually was with it's size, weight and smoothness. I too was kinda dissapointed when I bought mine (new) until I raced my buddies '01 1500 2wd w/5.3 which I thought was pretty quick and won. The diesel torque does take some getting used to when your used to the harsh downshifts and high RPMs of a gasser.
