How often should zert fittings and other lube items be checked? I understand that driving conditions have an impact. This is my first "heavy duty" truck. I have not usually worried about these type of things on my other trucks. What type of grease should be used? How can I find out where all the chasis fittings and other grease fittings are? Any other items that I should be mindful of?

I lube the front end every 4000k when I change the oil. As far as type of grease, go to your local auto store and ask them as you live in cold climate. I would use a synthetic though. There are 11 fittings on the front end, so just look till you findthem all. Other maint. is just the usual, visual inspection of things, I try to put mine in 4x4 for a mile here and there, also you might cycle your emergency break every so often because they are getting rusty in the wet regions so I under stand. There is whole maint. schedule by Dmaxallytech,a very well known tech on this sight I think in the ask the techs area . Hope I helped you out some.

There are 11 zerks on your 03. Use a high quality heavy duty chassis grease like Valvoline . Grease the emergency brake cable to. I grease every 3K but 4K is probaly okay if the truck is used for transportation mostly on good roads. I chnange the oil and oil filter e\very 5k, use good filter, no Fram. Be sure oil is diesel rated, Rotella is a popular oil. I use Schaeffers oil and grease, Mobile oil filter, Allison tranny filter and any brand fuel mfilter will do. The fuel filters are all made by RACOR, There is a new filter out and it has two pleated filter elements , one inside the other, inside the can. A lot of us prefer adding a secondary filter for safety. Mine is the Nicktane set up in front of the OEM and its mounted back in front of the right rear wheel. This gives me a large capacity filter with a 2 micron rating. Some where in this forum theres a mmaintenance schedule, maybe someone lese can tell you exactly where. Enjoy the truck, its a winner.
P.S. Front wheels can't be greased, not not a good feature (my opinion) but were stuck with it.
