: Hard Start when WARM???

Hello, Friends.

I've searched the forums for this issue and haven't had much luck. If someone knows how to help or can direct me to a previous post on this topic, I would appreciate it.

04 LB7. 25k miles. Truck start perfect when cold. If I have her at full operating temperature and try to start her up right after killing the motor, I have problems. She turns over, begins to run for about 1 second, and then dies. I've only experienced this when she was warm.

It seems like if I come to a stop and let her idle for 30 seconds or more before turning it off, re-starting is easier. But if I turn it off right after putting her in "park", I can almost bet that if I turn her over, she won't start unless I give her 5 minutes or so and try again.

Thus far, I've never been unable to start the truck after waiting 5 minutes or so. But, I want to understand/fix the problem nonetheless. Thanks for the help.

Try unpluging the juice/attitude. One of the boxes may be wigging out when it sees the truck is at operating temp. or the temp is up under the hood. Good luck

I changed the filter at 10,000 miles and 20,000 miles. At 20k, I also installed a Nicktane kit. My problem began before I added the Nicktane (CAT) filter. Are you thinking about air in the lines?

I've not disconnected the Edge, but I have run the truck in level 0 (stock) for some time to see if the Edge might be causing any of the problem. It has the starting problem even when in level 0, so it's either not Edge related, or putting it in level 0 isn't truly like stock.

I'll try the disconnect you mentioned, catch007.

Any other ideas?
