: shock upgrade?

I have an '04 D/A long box, ext. cab, and am looking to upgrade from the stock shocks to something a little better. All I have done to the truck is swap the 245 tires for 265's, and replace the torsion bar keys with some GM leveling keys. The truck seems to ride rougher than it used too. I've heard alot of good things about guys upgrading to Blistiens, but am not crazy about the bright yellow and teal blue color combo they have. Do they make shocks in other colors? Are there other good shocks, perhaps not as pricey, as the Blistiens? any recomendations would be appreciated. Thanks

I installed RS9000 recently and am happy with them - I like the ability to adjust the damping.

Rancho rs9000's, I love the adjustability.

A rattle can and new shock boots could probably fix that color problem.

I've had the Bilsteins for about a year now and they are the best upgrade I've done on the truck !!!..........Triffid

Have you Bilstein guys also tried the Ranchos for comparison? What is better/different between them?

Thanks

I don't think shocks of any kind can make a truck ride softer, maybe I am 100% wrong?????

i did the bilsteins about 3 months ago and it was well worth it. i went back and forth between rancho's and bilstein's, finally did the bil's cause of their unlimited warranty. unbelievable difference. since i also tightened up my torsion bars, i added in 4 washers onto the top stud of each of the front shocks to keep them from topping out (worked great!)
