Is there an inset difference on the rear rims that you can switch sides?

As Dave says, you should be able to widen the stance of your rear wheels by bolting the outer rims to the widest tabs. I wish I knew how to post a picture, I'd take one of the rims on my 970 and show you. I'll see if I can figure it out and post a photo tomorrow.

they are in the offset stance. it still feels a little tippsy if ya will at certain places in the yard though. :eek:which could be caused by the water in the tires but she pulls real nice.:D thanks for the replies

Looks like you already have your rims set at the widest stance but I'm going to try to send you a photo anyway. Hope this works.

Water in the wheels should help you as it adds weight down low. Moving the rims out further than the factory settings might put more stress on the wheel bearings at least more than they are designed to handle. Just a thought.

Looks like your on the wide rim setting already may want wheel weights that would help keep ya stable or fluid in the tires. Or see if you could fab another hub to bolt on and dual wheel it up i have seen that done before.

Do you have a loader on the tractor?

Taking it off w/ a rear mount mower will make to more stable too.

On my dads JD you can change the outter rim, put them on the other side of the tractor and that will add brobably another 12". You dant have to change side only thing is your bar tread would be backwards.

Drink a few more beers, get a good gut going, and hang off the fender! :D

My dad use to mow the back side of our dike with a little A with a Woods belly mower on it. Back then that side of the dike was STEEP! When it was built they seriously considered just buying sheep to graze it. But dad found that if he hung way off the fender, he could it mowed.

Since the flood of 97 though, it has taken on a life of its own and is sliding and shifting and now it is just a gentle slope.
