My son just turned 16 and he wants to start riding my 650 special. Problem is one carb may have gummed up while the bike sat in the shed. It will start and run pretty good, but will pop out the muffler on one side. I'm thinking one carb is to blame.

Anyone know of something to run through the gas in the tank lets say over a period of time that will clean it out. Or am I looking at removing the carbs?

Been reading a little. Would it be safe using seafoam in the tank?

It won't hurt, but I would just pull the carbs off and go through them. They are not too difficult.
