Hello i have a o6 3500 d-max van does anyone know if there are any aftermarket gear sets made yet for these vans i would like to try a 3.42 or somewhere in that area

They use the 10.5 Axle, just about any ratio under the sun for that axle

I would consider doing the same. I think that it spins to high on the highway going 75mph. I would think 3.42's would be a good choice, maybe even 3.08's

I am thinking the same thing also. Too high RPMs at freeway speeds.

How about those Gear reduction units from US Gear or Gearvendors. Anyone tried them.

Tahoe Hybrid has 3:08. Might be too much gear towing for the trans ?

isn't the rear axle a Dana 70 ?

It's an AAM 10.5 full floater, not the same as in the pickups though that was used since 73. Those have a bolt on pinion support bearing

Mine has the dana stamp and the build tag says 70S and DIFF LOC
which i thought was a super 70 and some kind of Posi in the rear
do i have some thing special ?
