Hi, I purchased 3 gauges and an A-Pillar mounting bracket a year ago and am finally getting around to installing them (not being lazy, was building a house).
Anyways, I pulled the mounting pillar out of the package and am not sure how this is supposed to fasten to the truck. It doesn't have any clips and it doesn't appear to snap over the existing A-pillar. I haven't been able to locate any pictures or information on the forum today, but I am sure a year ago I came accross something.
I think it is supposed to go over the existing one, otherwise I would have to cut the factory moulding. The only way I can see is to screw to to the existing A-pillar and drill holes through it to run the lines for the gauges.
Does anyone have andy pictures or information as to the best way to fasten the after-market A-pillar to the factory one?
Thanks
Rob

your A-Pillar fits over the stock one and is held in place with little plastic push pins

I have added a front view and back view of the A-Pillar to my garage.
The pics aren't the best.

Not sure, but that looks like a total replacement cover. Usually the single and double gauge pods just screw to your existing pillar cover. You can just pull yours out - should just be able to gently pull on it and it will snap loose and then compare them.

Mine came with the little push pins(6 or so).
Before removing factory A-pillar. Stick the pillar pod up there and mark your locations for the holes for the push pins, you might have to trim your pod also(I did, alot, where it meets the dash).
After you figured where you want it positioned, drill a couple pin holes that you can drill easily, drill one hole, pop pin in, then drill the next, remove factory pillar to finish drilling the remaining holes. I also drilled about a 3/4" hole behind each gauge into the original pillar for the lines and wires to go through, so mark these also if you have to route behind the original.
Dont do like I did, test fit before you paint. Dont forget to paint the push pins also.
You could also use double side tape instead of the push pins.
This is the only pic I have of mine, look to the left of the center gauge and at the bottom left is two of the push pins.

Who's the manufacturer? SpeedHut? Universal? Autometer?
I just instal mine, a Speedhut. Pefect fit and hassle free. It goes over the stock one.
Just pushed and forced it (slightly) at the bottom of stock one and secured it with push pins on top.
Terrible look :D IMO, nicer than in a Subaru WRX :bling:

Mine looked exactly like that one(cant remember what brand) and it just slip fit over the existing one and there were 4 small black screws that held it in place.

Mine is autometer, it doesn't clip around it, it just basically covers it and the pins hold it on. It looks good once I got it on though.
