I have checked all of my manuals and searched this forum for the average amount of fluid for just the tranny fluid change, just by draining through the drain plug and not removing the pan. I have seen info of around 7.5 Qts. Is this about right? I change the spin on with every oil change and since the Allison has a drain plug and no need to change an internal filter, I want to do it myself at 20,000.
Any help will be apreciated.

I was surprised when I saw that the Alli only took 12.7 qts dry. I thought it would hold alot more than that. I am thinking that my 4L80 took around 15 when I rebuilt it.
