My new truck came with K&N intake (will be putting Amsoil Filter to replace K&N) and I just put a MBRP 4in Turbo-Back exhaust on. I'm looking at getting boost and pyro gauges. Then a PPE tuner, my first instinct was to get the Economy b/c i don't want to hurt the Allison. But the more I read some people have the Standard with the same mods that i have. I don't plan on racing or pulling. But if I run in the highest tune to fool around on the PPE Standard will it hurt my trans??

First buy the Front pipe and get rid of the cat. Second I ran my PPE standard on the 225 tune for 15,000 miles on the stock trans. I then pulled the trans and did a Suncoast stage 4 and the clutches looked fine in the trans. You just have to de carefull and the 5-4 downshift that is when you will limp your trans.

My exhaust is turbo-back 4in no cats, straight from turbo. I'm not gonna lie it's loud but it sounds real good. I bought the muffler delete pipe, i figured that if it was too loud i would put muffler on. as far as in town if you stay out of the pedal it ain't bad. goto MBRP and listen to the sound clips. I installed it myself the hardest part is removing the hanger in the trans area to remove old pipe.MBRP has great directions and it fit together very well. A hint to get to the turbo pull out the fasteners to the passenger side inner fender give you all kinds of room. Don't bother with a K/N intake they suck! i am going to order an AMSOIL filter and replace my K?N. That oil get all over the MAF. I just flushed my trans with AMSOIL today replaced all the filters.
