: What is it worth?

A friend of the family has asked if we could place his trailer for sale at our house since he lives on a road without much traffic. The price he has on it I think is way to high which is the reason its for sale since last summer. I powerwashed, repainted, and sealed the deck on it last summer since he let it sit outside and never washed or took care of it. There was a slight amount of surface rust which I took care of and sanded down the rest of the trailer then painted it.
All I am looking for is a real world amount so I can give him an estimate of what its worth.

Here are a few pics of the trailer and the manufacter webpage.

Saw one just a few weeks ago that was comparable as best I remember, he was asking $3,800.

Im no expert on trailers by any means but if you can get good used 14k gooseneck for around 3,000 im guessing 2000-2500? I mean lets face it it is almost mint, but its still used. By all means guys feel free to correct me, just a guess.

I also would guess that 2000-2500 is also fair. I'm pretty sure he is asking at least a thousand over "new" price.

Funny, lol.

If he only wanted a few hundred my name would be on the registration for it already. I have no idea what I would use it for except for occasionally pulling our jd b or a couple atv's but I'll gladly take it.

Put 2500 on it,and I'LL bet it doesn't last a week.

I figure the same.

Currently it's been for sale off and on since last summer. Its been in my grandmas front yard since sunday I think and we have about 8 people per day stop and look at it and as soon as they see the price on the sign they walk away quickly. When the owner gets back from vacation I'll have to see if I can calmly inform him that he wants way way way to much money for it.

$2500 B/O, i just bought a new Cam-Superline 18', 12k with a better tongue than that one for $3770 out the door and 2yr warranty. I found other trailers of same size and capacity for around $3k but only came with 1yr warranty and the tongue wasnt as well built.
