Is it possible to load a tune into my truck using a programmer like PPE w/DPF Delete and then hook up my EFILive to the truck and read it and that will be the PPE tune when i read the PCM and then I will be able to save it ? Put the truck back to stock with the tuner and then input the saved tune with the EFILive if and when I choose to do so ? The PPE is vin locked to my truck but, will it stop me from reading the loaded tune ?

Yes, you can do that without any problems.

You can do it without any problems at all, however, do not post the tune or share it. This has been discussed many times about many programmers. The consensus is that it would be unethical to post or share the tune and i'm pretty sure if you do post it here you'll either get banned or suspended.

Thanks for the answer, being new to EFILive I just wanted to try and understand how and what the tuner could and couldn't do. My buddy has a PPE tuner and he wants to tweek it here and there. So I thought i would throw the question out there. Guess I didn't search far enough into the archives to find this specfic question and the answer.

No the tune itself or even the tweeked tune is for his own personal use and that's it. The guys a way to cheap in one sense, buying a computer or a laptop is definitely not in his plans I'm sure. Likes to spend his money in other ways. I just have the second licence on my unit and I said he could use it. He just wants to experiment a little, better he do it on his truck. I know for certain he won't be touching my truck. I'll stick to the guys that do it for a living and I can be certain of what I'm getting. Buying tunes= happy truck=happy owner(wife that isn't upset because of broken truck, do to my stupidity is a good choice)
