I was at a quick stop today and left the truck running while some frineds ran in to get some stuff. After about 2 minutes the truck started acting like it was missing it would shake and stuff. I noticed no diff in engine rpm and the engine noise did not change just felt and acted like it was missing. From out side of the truck you could not tell that it was doing it. My wife told me it did it to her the other day I left it running to keep her warm while I took care of some business.
Truck just turned 1,400 miles and is bone stock. Out side temp was about 59 today and about 32 when it did it to my wife. I am not real stressed about it just curious what could be going on.
Thanks

TLTBOWEN, Hey my 04.5' LLY does the same thing, but not all the time. I'm pushing 15000 mil. on mine. Does it seem to do it befor the eng. temp gets to say 170* -180* but after say 190* it's ok. One of the guys on this board that knows what i was talking about was SOCALDIESELTECK you could try and send him a PM he's great with our trucks. I was going to take mine in for that issue but of course it will not do it at the dealer so I just driv it.

I started having this problem last May. I was put in touch with a Bill Carnaballi(sp) who is the GM Duramax Quality Manager. He is the top guy for these engines. He diagnosed the problem (injector calibration) and at the time had all 8 injectors replaced. In Sept. GM developed a software fix for this issue. Take the truck into your dealer and ask that the latest reflash be done. It is a ten minute job. If you have any questions send me a PM.

I appreciate the replies but I would hope that an 05 would have the latest flash, but maby not  . I will check on it at my first service. It sounds like it is no big deal so I may not worry about it as I am geting around 19.5 mpg hand calculated.
Thanks
Tom

You may be correct but the 05's started production in July and the reflash wasn't available until September so there will be 05's that need the update.
BTW- What kind of SICKO would want to video sewers? -:t

That is correct. My 2005 was produced July 22nd 2004 and it is a 2005 model. The truck did have a low speed driving surge and ran a little rough sometimes. I had the pcm reflashed in November and so far sooooo good.

maynard9089 to answer your question we will start with the EPA and work down the lader from there. Some body's got to do it although I will admit it is not what I was planing on when I graduated from college.

I will have to check my build date I hope that a flash will fix the problem. Has the flash had and change on the MPG?
