I traveled from Northern Ca.(Chico) to the Bay Area yesterday.
When I got there the Ally was shivering like it had Parkenson's on take off from a dead stop. This morning it was even worse.
I bought a new Spin on Filter and changed it. I thought I had really Limped it as it didn't help at first, so I headed back to Northern Ca., my wife praying the whole trip.
As I got closer to home I noticed it was acting alot better. When I pulled into town it was as smooth as new. Sure didn't know a filter would cause so many bad effects.:o:

If the filter is that bad, you should not be suprised to see issues soon....

here's my question. if the spin on filter was that bad, then what of the rest of the fluid?

Fluid looks ok, I am taking it in on Monday to have it checked by a Tech. I'm still not absolutly positive it's cured. Jiffy Lube checks fluid and says it is always fine every 3-4000 miles when I do an Oil change. I had it looked at about 3 weeks ago by a local Transmission Shop and he indicated it was also fine. First Allison Trans I have owned and first Diesel. Sure seemed like a good combination, I'm still trying to learn all the things about both.
