Think the recommended tranny fluid change interval is 50K miles under easy driving conditions. I change every 25K which is 1/2 the recommended interval. Friend of ours is a independent mechanic, never done business with hime since he lives about 1000 miles from us. He says 90 percent of premature tranny failures can be eliminated by changing out every 25K. Guess I can believe him since he doesn't stand a chance of making a nickel form me.

I dont remember the recommended service interval, however mine gets a new filter every 7500 miles and complete change every 50K with internal filter. My tranny is built so I run hotter than stock due to pressure, at least until the stock tranny starts to slip:) . My oil (synth.) is expensive, seeing as I am not breaking it down at 50K I dont feel compelled to change it more often. Actually I could probably go to 75K according to the analysis.

25K seems excessively soon, except in the most extreme towing apps.

Drain and refill every 10K, filter every 5K

Cheap insurance, actually free for me as long as I use the bulk dex the shop has in the reel.... if I want syn I have to pay for it myself

Must be nice to change it every 10k. Normal tranny temp between 160* and 200*...
