Well I just returned from a one week jaunt to Orlando and back to cold Wi. Anyhow truck ran good and strong but it wasn't anything like I had 2 years back when i went to Plymouth MA.

I averaged around 17 mpg last long trip netted me in the low 20's but we are on winter fuel so maybe that was the difference. Also avoid driving a diesel in the SE corridor, they rape you on fuel prices.

I have a small coolant leak that I'll soon be taking it in to see where it's coming from since visually I can't find it, but it keeps collecting on the IFS crossmember and leaving a small wet spot(not enough to call a puddle since I haven't had to top it off).

Now that I'm over the 36k marker(just over 41 on my 03) I'm getting that "SERVICE 4WD" light that has been kind of a common problem.

Truck is still a pleasure to drive, but I'm starting to think I got a Friday night/monday morning build with all the little glitches this truck has had.

Rick, sounds like a decent trip. I am leaving in 2 weeks for a 2 week trip to Texas pulling the travel trailer! I hope my trip goes as well as yours did! Keep in touch. Arlen.

I have a coolant leak like you also.Had to add some coolant twice so far and see the wet spot around the motor mount on the passenger side, but can't find where it is. Please post what they find. Thanks Jeff

Arlen I hope you have a nice trip. You'll see an abundance of TT's going south. I don't think I've ever seen so many heading down the road or dealers.

I'll be interested to hear how everything goes when you get back. The only downside is your shortbox(read smaller fuel tank). When going on longer drives and in your case pulling a long camper stopping for fuel regularily will become a nuisance.

I can go 400 miles solo on a freeway trip, and 250 to 300 while towing my Airstream travel trailer. Thinking of getting an aux tank to avoid fueling in Ohio, WVA and FL.

Best fuel prices are in Virginia and southern Georgia, on I77 and I95. You could save a bundle fueling up with a large aux tank, in those places. I always check Flying J's website for fuel prices.

I found mine today while I was under changing the transfer case fluid which I doubt is my problem but I've never done it so what the heck. Anyhow my leak is driver side dripping down from the water pump housing just above where the hose connects to the pump so I'm assuming it's a bad gasket which according to what I saw Cobra post gaskets are covered under the 5/100 warranty which is a relief on my part.

Going to be going to Fla. 25th of the month. Towing 34ft TT I'm glad you mentioned where fuel is cheapest as I have 50gal in bed tank. Will fuel up down there. Tank sure gets ride of all that stopping for fuel, now if I could just do something about my bladder!:(

Easy fix----->

FOLEY CATHETER! Just slide it in and let the urine flow. I just let it drain into a Coke bottle. Just dont let it tip. Drop off in garbage when you either need to take a dump or fuel. Looks just like lemonage! -:t

There is a TSB on the service 4wd light. Some dealers will do the service under warrenty.
