just had the IP and a temp. PMD tested for the 2nd time got the truck together it started up ran good, got up to temp and the fuel pressure got erratic then went to 0 and the truck stalled. Cracked 1 injector line, IP not pumping, fuel pressure back up IP still not pumping. Truck cooled down and started right up then same thing happened.
New fuel relay
new OPS
all fuses good
any Ideas I can relay to the mechanic?
?????????????????

needs a new injector pump

The pump was run on a bench test and passed. I assume the test was not done under the same heat as the engine produces.

temp. PMD was used? did it do same thing before swapping PMDs?

almost sounds like a PMD issue. try pouring a bottle of room temp water over the IP when it won't start. if it fires right up your IP is going and needs to be replaced.

before it would start even when hot but blew lots of smoke, bad harness and pmd

OPS bad ? Liftpump bad ? Fuel Relay stuck ? Wires short ?

If it won't start again, try this : (see pic attached)

If liftpump runs, check again OPS or Fuel Relay.
But at least it also could be the PMD or crankshaft position sensor (CPS).

The hot temp and no fuel points to PMD like everybody said. It may be bad IP but try the PMD first. Is the PMD still in the pump or anywhere inside the engine compartment? If so, 90% of the time, this is the issue.

Try opening the t-valve to see if fuel running out FIRST. I know you have new OPS and relay, but the LP can be out also. Bleed the system through the fuel filter valve very good also.

i would test LP volume output first, no reason for fuel press to disapear even if IP goes bad.IMO the return line is to small to pass all the fuel with no press showing.power the LP from batt, see if it makes diff

If PMD is bad, you get no fuel so therefore no run and no smoke.
Blowing lots of (black) smoke indicates a turbo issue, or (less likely)
bad injectors

The IP was tested a 2nd time and the PMD was said To be bad along with the wire harness. The machine shop put a used PMD, Refused to test pump with my Heath harness and PMD, and used stock harness and passed The IP. IT was installed and the truck started and sounded strong till it warmed up, fuel pressure became erratic for 5 seconds pressure dropped to 0 soon after the engine stalled. The machine shop manager is stubborn and will not wavier from the BOOK. I recommended plugging in the Heath driver the mechanic wants to get the truck running from the stock driver first.

It's a new LP and I think the volts to it was checked, I'm thinking to check in the 2 year old gas tank to see if the 2 year old screen is clogged from a bad batch of fuel

Plug it in yourself, 30 seconds to do it if you are real slow

Update,
20 minutes to plug in the remote heath driver no start. all wireing checks out, fuel pressure. the 3 times the engine ran was when an injector or 2 was cracked then stalled out before reaching temp.???????????
Mechanic fried the computer????
Just before the Problems happened the oil pressure was off the gauge ( way up)???
