Does the rubber fuel line, such as what is used in secondary pre and post OEM filtration need to be rated specifically for fuel injected systems? Reason I ask - the previous owner of my truck had an auxiliary tank at one point, and the hose along the inside of the frame rail says it's for non fuel injected systems, and I'm thinking about replacing it with hose that is rated for it.
What do y'all think?

Hose for fuel injected systems has a higher pressure rating than the other. As that line is under suction, either one should be fine. Probably, the line for injected engines is better quality, and it is a bit more rigid.

Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking. Better to go with FI hose.

Do not waste your money on HP hose. You can buy very good oil/diesel rated hose at your local tractor dealer for under $2 a foot. Later! Frank

either will work just fine. just make sure its rated for diesel.

if possible i would replace as much of this hose with tubing and reduce down to 6" to1ft less to worry about getting damaged or suction collapse, though FI has stiffer wall

Well I'm only dealing with about 14-16" of it anyway, supply and return each.
