Thanks.

Brian.

Sway bar, etc. Basically I would like to replace the OEM rubber on the front end. I am getting Bilsteins and just want to keep everything up front tight. Truck has 68K miles.

Thanks, Brian.

Has anyone replaced the OEM bushings with Polyurethane bushings?

Thanks. Brian.

I put poly bushings in Tomacs truck nearly two years ago. Best we can tell all they do is squeak. Lots of work to install too. I dont recall where he got them from, but it was a kit for these trucks.

I put a kit in a an 89 Chevy 4x4.

It was energy suspension.

They were very squeeky but Energy claims they reformulated them for less squeek. They also have softer versions.

This was me installing the yellow ones on my 89 back in 1991 or so...

See the beer can in the foreground? And the directions in the grass?

I appreciate the replys. Am I barking up the wrong tree?

I am looking to retain the "hardness/responsiveness" of the new stock suspension and possibly improve handling--my truck with 68K miles is starting to soften-up.

I am getting the bilsteins and looking for any other enhancements. I found a set of ENERGY SUSPENSION components I believe. About $240 for all bushings, etc. Please let me know if this is a good idea.

try the billsteins first and see if you need anything else. you'll be amazed at the difference the billsteins make.

The jackstands sitting on top of the cinder block's is scary

One good hit and the block's have a good chance of crumbling away.:badidea: :Nonono:
