I know I am beating a dead horse with this topic but its a decent amt of $$$ so I might as well get some experienced opinions.
Going with new tires in the next week or so got it narrowed to 3 choices looking for some input and experiences with the three.
1. Toyo M/T
2. MT Baja MTZ Radial Traditional
3. Cooper STT

I love my Toyo's great looking, tough as nails in rocks an places that might puncture a normal tire, Quieter than some other tires I have tried / ride quality on pavement is good due to tread pattern not having gaping holes in it and awesome traction in mud / deep snow. Toyo's also balance nice on rims which in my opinion means they make a good quality tire rather than slapping them together on a Friday.
One down side is on our trucks pavement is the ultimate killer and 40k-50k km is all people are getting out of thease tires and they can be expensive.
My Toyo's are AT's and I love them and run them year around.

I have heard the AT's are great but i think my ego gets in the way cause I really like the MT's even though the AT's are cheaper and last longer...you just can beat the look of a good MT.

You actually got enough snow in Reno this last winter to them to. ;)

In my opinion i like the agressive looks of the baja mtz's and they are cheaper too... Check ebay if your looking at 285 75 16's or 305 70 16's. They have them for a pretty decent price. Good luck.

I have had good luck with the toyos on my jeep, decent tire all the way around. Its been on the rubicon trail and a lot of trails in moab. My dad had trouble with cooper tires the tread came apart on one, could have been a fluke, it still had 60% or so tread when it parted. He switched to BFG's and they have been good, a little louder than the toyos imo. both are 35's

I've had good experiences with the Toyo and the Cooper STT. I don't think you could go wrong with either one.

You aren't the only one  :D. I hate the look of A/T's.
I ran Cooper STT's and Toyo M/T's and the Coopers are better IMO. The Toyo's are 10ply which is a plus but don't wear worth crap if you tow a big trailer. I'm going back with Coopers asap.

Almost 1 1/2 years into my MTZ'S and I still love em. Sexy tire, balanced perfect and never a nail or flat. I would not hesitate to buy another set. I bought them off ebay, but still thought they were expensive...but I guess most aggressive tires are.
Good luck with the decision.

Looking at the toy compared to the Cooper the load index is a little lower on the Cooper any issues? The Toyo is a 126 = 3748lbs. while the cooper is a 122 = 3307. Thoughts?

I was constantly towing 25,000-30,000 {trailer and load} and had faster wear on the Toyo's. Never had issues with either as far as holding the weight.
