My 3500 ate a small chevy pickup  and needs a bumper. I am curious if anyone can suggest a good aftermarket alternative.

I just added a Reunel front end replacement. Awesome bumper. There are many. If you want something with "Beef" in it, you will have to spend a bit of money. I have not heard of any direct bolt in GM bumper replacements. Pretty scary when you can take off that front bumper and carry it with one hand....

if your willing to spend the money there are a bunch of really heavy duty, good looking front ends you could put on there. plan on spending close to or more than 2 grand though. ruenel, road armour, warn, these are just a few that pop into mind, they are the higher quality ones. i want one but dont have the financial means right now.

oh yeah and if your not too far, you can go to ruenel, sit down with them and litterally design your own bumper to your exact desires. then once its built, 2 weeks or so, they will install it for free.
