Ok, my used Ebay injection pump took a shitter today, puking out diesel fuel, used 1/4 tank in 5 miles, what a mess.

Anyhow, time to stop messing around, surfing the usual, Ebay, there are some rebuilt 6.5 turbo IP's for $200 with warranty and a few rare 250hp Marine IP's. Of course the usual rebuilt 6.2 IP's for $295 to $335 which are a wicked deal.

Just wondering if the 6.5 or Marine pumps will work and what can I expect if I use them? Ie crappy fuel economy, burn up my engine? I will be turboing my little 6.2 one day. TIA.

Excess fuel delivery at full throttle. Black smoke/overfueling at high throttle essentially. Stay out of it and you shouldn't be able to tell the difference.

What do they do with marine engines to get more power out of them?

lower the compression, crank the turbo and more fuel

So if I run a 6.5 injection pump, it shouldn't affect my mpg unless I am in WOT constantly?

I found a really good deal on a rebuilt 6.5 mechanical pump but dont' want to kill my mpg.
