Last weekend I had to make a tight turn to get into a neighborhood and I didn't make it tight enough so I had to back up a little jack knifing the trailer. While I backed up the couple feet it felt like the hitch bound up. I was watching the whole time and the trailer did not touch the cab nor did any part of the pin box touch the bed. Has anyone ever had something like this happen or know what would have caused it?

Oh the hitch is a Reese Pro Series 15K.

sounds like the trailer tires were trying to push sideways because of the sharp jack knife if its a tri axle its worse.

Oh that kind of makes sense.

We old timers call that scrubbing the tires. My old GMC front wheel drive motorhome tandem air suspension wheels would angle so sharp they looked like they would break.God I miss that baby..rode like a grayhound,smooth and got 14 mpg.
