Thinkin about the predator but had some questions on it. I have the ppe airbox mod mbrp turbo back 4", and just ordered the blocker plate and finger stick so will have that installed within the week. My main question would be the gauges i cannot afford them yet but i live in southwest Florida where there isnt even a hill and never tow over 6,000 lbs so am i ok? Another question i have heard that any tuner that goes through the diagnostic port the dealer can trace and that its not good for the ecm? Everyone that i know around here has the edge and all try to recommend that to me but i dont have the budget for the edge.

You'll be fine towing 6,000 lbs on level ground on 40-85. Your tranny won't like it but EGT's will be ok. As far as the dealer detecting the Predator, some say thay can and some say they cant. Just be sure to set it back to stock before taking it in for service and you should be fine. If they ask you if you have installed a programer in your truck tell them "HELL NO, DO I LOOK CRAZY", they have to prove it so I would'nt worry.

I have the exact same mods as you are describing and I tow 6500# routinely with the 65 hp tune. The highest egt I ever saw was 1370 and that was with stock exhaust towing the 5'er up a pretty decent grade.
IMHO, the Predator is the best bang for the buck.

Installed the Blocker Plate yesterday along with finger stick sounds better. Installed the predator today and lovin it takin a decent length trip to the truck pulls tomorrow night so we'll see how it does.

My CC/LB on 65 with 7000# behind never sees over 1100 on a hill. But my setup is a little different. You should be fine, just tow responsibly and don't try to win any races with the trailer on.
