This is not a tractor, but we do not have an implement section. :)

Does anyone know much about a Feterel 96 snow blower? I have never heard of Feterel. But it is a dual auger setup with hydraulic chute. 8 foot path on it.

It looks like a really heafty blower, just curious if anyone has any information on the Feterel brand? All I could find is that they are big into grain augers. But very little info on their blowers.

The reason why I ask is because there is one for sale locally here. I think it is a steal, but the low price makes me a little concerned about the quality of the blower.

They are built good but are not built like the ones from the 40s. It should be trouble free if you take care of. The biggest thing is dont go hitting stuff.

Theres one on USfarmer for $671, seems like a deal for one that size.

That's the local one! It is at a Titan Outlet center just across the river and through the woods a little ways. I saw it this past weekend while we were hauling hay from South Fargo over towards Felton, MN.

I didn't think $671 was a bad deal at all.

Dual augers. One on top, one on the bottom. Helps to chew through that really deep snow. Just one chute.

If you need one that size I would get it, cant beat the price and it looked like it was in good shape. If they had it a while maybe toss them a bid. I can get alot of your normal size blower, like 6ft with a single auger for $500. If you get one snow where you need that double auger it will have paid for it self.

The biggest need for that dual auger is the drifts. Especially where it will be used. Good shelter around the yard, but right where the driveway comes in, it is open and the trees cause a nice drift there.

Oh, and it will be on the back of a 856 so the extra width is needed so the tires aren't hanging out.

Extra width is no biggie; don't take a full swipe if the snow is deep! And even if not, holding back will eliminate need for extra swipes to clean up "spill-over". I have a Buhler-Farm King- used it 3 times in 4 years. It likely won't snow at my place again until I sell it and then the snow'll be up to the rafters!!!

We have grapes so the 6ft is nice if you need to get down a grape row. I really like the 6ft, it never really gets used.

Found out why that blower is so cheap! Took a really good look at it before the weekend. The top auger is bent. Looks like he hit something with it. Bottom one is bent a little to. It's bent so bad that it hits the back of the blower when it goes around.

And the sad part is, it's not a straight bend so it's not like you could just give it some heat and bend it straight again. I am sure that finding a replacement is almost impossible.

Guess that the look will continue.

That stinks; always goes that way, it seems. Keep on looking- global warming should make snow blowers a cheap item ;-)

Id still throw them a offer, as long as the 2 big augers up front are straight.

I have fixed bent ribbon type augers just cut out the bent part if possible and fab new piece to weld in or just fab a whole new ribbon. I put mine on 200hp tractor it a nice piece to have even if you only run it 3 times a year. Came in handy last winter local plow guys could not push it with pickups any more so guess who blew it out of site for them

I guess that I didn't think about cutting it and welding in a hunk. Might be something worth looking at. But the price of the blower needs to come down a bit now knowing that it is broke when I buy it.
