I am making a list for the dealer for my first warranty repairs. I have a question about the intercooler boot by the turbo. There is an oil like substance around the boot. Its not bad being its only on the boot and not surrounding components, but the boot is not blue anymore, its black with this stuff. Is that normal?

Anyones front diff leaked from the gasket? I got only 29K miles and its already leaking. Only time it gets used is pulling boat out of the water. It was serviced at 500 miles to Mobil 1 by me.

Thanks Guys!!

That's normal. PCV reroute will take care of it from what I understand.

Thanks for the info 13Fox

I was suprised with the dealer actually. They not only fixed my problems with no questions, but found a few other issues under warrenty and went ahead and fixed them too.

its a easy fix just take the boot off where the inter cooler pipe conects. on the inter cooler pipe theres a bent area at the end on it. just straightin it out so there no u shape on the pipe. then place it back problem solved ive done it and now i dont have anymore oil on my boot and pipe.

mobile 1 its not a diesel oil and can't lube all the thing you need with a diesel oil. delo 400 by chevron, or shell rotella, theres valvealine and amsoil there all diesel oil. i know this happend to my dad in his 96 6.5 he used a non diesel oil and the oil foamed up and blew the motor you want oil 15w 40 or a straight 30 or 40 weight.

i didnt know they made diesel oil. i know that this was about 1996 when the engine blew, and they told my dad that they wasn't going to warrenty it do to there was no diesel oil in it when it blew.

He serviced the front differential with Mobil 1, NOT the engine. Didn't anyone actually comprehend what they read? :)

I was wondering what yall were talking about. I run Rotella in the motor, not Mobil 1.
