Hopefully, you didn't go out and spend thousands on the processor without learning the actual process first. I've read a couple of books and lots of research on the net about it, but I've made a little processor out of a two litre glass jar but modified of course. Most everything I have read so far says to make numerous test batches before you embark on an actual processor. My first one seperated...sort of. I could see two different layers which I could assume was glycerin and biodiesel. I used new vege oil so there was no titration to worry about. However, I tried to do a water wash. That didn't work out so well. It washed, and seperated once but I had to move the processor and it shook a little. My water wash turned into this milky mixture and even though I left it for almost a week it never seperated again. I poured it into my used oil bin and started again. I know i am still learning so until I get it right at least a few times, I'm not going to be building my processor.

As for yours, I would have to guess its in the chemicals somewhere. Your titration was probably off so you made a big batch of soap. If I remember right thats indicitive of to much lye. Hopefully a pro brewer here can confirm or correct me.

Accurate measurements and good materials are key.

Common mistakes are too little catalyst and water present. The oil and the methanol must be dry. Rarely used cooking oils can contain fryer cleaners which will do weird things. Of course very accurate titration, heating the oil and good mixing are also critical.
