What's the best bet for a code scanner to read and clear codes on the 05 LLY? I went to the local auto parts store yesterday and bought a Autoxray2000 got it home and it only goes to 2003 on the GM. Called the company and they said right now there software only goes through 04. Does anyone know if this will properly read the 05 or is there another scanner that will work?
Thanks for any advice.

do you plan on any power programmers? the power programmers will do it and adjust for tire size. the predator is the most trouble free at this time.,

if not sure if it will come to it. just go by the local auto parts store and see if they have a scanner that is will accommodate an 05 GM vehicle. The other option you have, is to find someone that has a predator in your area who wouldn't mind reading your codes for you. be careful as the predator may suck you into buying one as they are fun and very functional.
myself, until i bought the predator, i was going to AutoZone as they would read any codes for free. Buying a code reader for almost $200 wasn't very acceptable to me when I could double the price and have a re-programmer to do little things I would need. Just my $.02 worth.

NCMIC, so if I read what you posted and what they say on the Diablo site, I can get the Predator and it will read and re-set codes just like an OBD scanner in addition to changing tunes? Does it also read transmission codes or strictly engine codes? If it does all that I can see why it would be a good deal.
At present the predator does not read transmission codes. Hopefully, they will change this in later versions. For the price of shipping the tuner, Diablo will update it to the latest and greatest versions.
In addition to the ECM codes and changing tunes, the real-time diagnostics show injector balance rates, rail pressure, and lots of other stuff I am still trying to figure out.

I don't even run the Predator tune anymore, and I keep one in my truck as a diagnostic tool. Boost doesn't work, and sometimes it locks up while reading realtime data, but still very handy.
