I went to the lake this weekend and for the first time ever my dic indicated water in the fuel. I live in the desert, so I understand this shouldnt happen from fuel stations. I am just wondering if when I launched my boat, water leaked in the tank. Should be sealed up right? I dont know, but I have drained water 4 or 5 times from my filter and have refilled my tank from a totally reliable station but still have water in fuel. I am bummed:(

Sounds like it's time to drop the tank and give it a good cleaning. If there's water in there it's hard to get it all out just by adding more diesel.

Huh? Drop the tank? I would start by ensuring the the tank breather (attached to the filler tube) is "above water" when boat launching and then I'd continue to drain the water from the filter after using a "quality" fuel conditioner.

So do you think I probably got the water from the lake and not the fuel station??:o:

If you confirm that the breather is where it belongs and wasn't submerged, I'd bet you got it at a fuel station. Even in the desert, it rains and the stations tank could have a leak or the supplier could have brought the water in the tanker.

Ok, i will check the breather...also, just keep bleeding the fuel filter till its all gone I suppose. Thanks
