Hey all, wondering what would happen if my IP were to go bad?
the truck sputters at idle, and has frequent jump/rev up attacks, not the PMD already replaced that and the truck doesnt stall.
i feel strongly that its a bad IP, but dont know how to test it directly
anyway if the IP were to go completly out what would happen? would it damage something else on its way out?

Like what I told everybody, check the LP and OPS first. If there is no fuel to the IP, it won't function too good.

if it revs up, pegs the rev limiter, and stays there its the armature in the pump. other than that check for the things that don't cost you vital organs to replace.

AMEN! IP's and 4L80E tranny cost mucho denero. Take it from experience, try the cheaper items and then bite the bullet

If it goes bad, be prepared to sever your left leg and sell it. LOL.
