What's something like that cost? I have looked at the ones on JP Customs site and like the looks of those, but like the locking lid you have. My 99 Z-71 had a hard bed cover and it was a great place to store stuff. My 02 HD has a bedliner soon to be replaced with Line-X and I don't plan on installing a hard lid, but am longing for a place for my "travel kit" of tools and stuff. Do items in the box slide/bang/rattle around?

At GMPARTS its $368.00. A little steep I think for a plastic box that locks but it does look like it fits well and holds a bunch of stuff. Thats a little more than the BESTOP one but the BESTOP one doesnt lock. I think im in as soon as I can convince the wife that its a NEED not a WANT....

How does the box attach to the floor?... Does it use exsiting bolts or do you have to drill?... Thanks........Triffid

They use the existing bolts which hold the brackets for rear seat. Just remove the nuts, install the box with the supplied brackets, reinstall the nuts. You'll also have to replace the little black plastic seat bracket cover on the driver side floor with the supplied replacement cover which has already been cutted out so it will fit around the box.

yes the jack and stuff can still be accessable and doesn't move. they remain under the back portion of the seat on the ledge.

I confirm what Maverick said re: GM price mixup (or GM found the demand such that they could jack the price)... Bought the under seat box for my 02 EC when I lived in Canada for $86.00 CDN. That was approx $53.00 US at the then prevailing rate of exchange ....not to mention the truck at the same favorable exchange...saved thousands of US $ on the truck. What a great time to have lived in Canada and been paid in US currency.
Sadly with the US dollar in the toilet, its not the same now.
