2005 Silverado Lt C2500Hd Crewcab Duramax with 60,000 miles. looks like new inside and out. What's it worth?? Can get this truck for $16,700 . I would rather get an '06 LBZ 4X4. but I am finding it hard to pass on this price. I would mainly use it to pull my travel trailer. but I don't want to need a 4X4 and not have it. I just test drove the truck earlier with the TT hooked up. Big differance from my '96 Z71. crawled all over the truck and could not see anything obvious. only dampness was at speedo sensor at tailshaft of the allision. under the hood and under the truck looks new. Should I hold out for an '06 4x4 like i really want and pass on this deal? Or is this too good of a deal to pass up??

its really all in how you look at it.. either way is good.. you could hold out for the 06 lbz which is completely bad ass!! or you could also get the 05 and mod it up because you have all the extra money left over from the good ass deal you got on it!!
my opinion if the trucks seems like its in good condition i'd go for it but there has got to be a reason he is selling it so cheap...so ya might want to loook into it a little further than you have..

Crew Cab SLT with a Regency package( many bells and whistles), only 29K miles , new tires for 21 Grand. There are some good deals due to the high price of Diesel. I too was looking at the 2006-2007 classics. Some ran a little better, meaning more power, but I couldn't find a comparable truck for less then 29k. So went with the 05. I am happy.

At these prices, there are guys out there trading and/or selling outright for a song. Dealerships are giving less than $10k in some cases on trade. Go in with eyes wide open, run a car fax, etc. There was a guy out here a couple of weeks ago in SoCal wanting to get rid of his truck - had all the mods and sounded like a sweet truck - but it was 2WD and dealers were offering something like $7k for his truck in trade. I think he was hoping to get $10k. There are some good deals to be had...
If you're wanting 4WD, then I'd wait; it's not like it's a mod you can do by yourself...
Your gut is telling you to wait. Guys are trying to give diesels away right now. Wait for the '06 you want and 4x4. Resale will be higher too. Look in other states; you can have one shipped for $900 to $1500 anywhere in the US. Check out AZ sites, there are good deals out here.

Thank You for your replies. Ran carfax report and vehicle shows up as manufacturer buyback. It shows up several times in the report, but each time the title# is the same. No reason giving. Called the service manager at the local GMC dealership that I used to work for and ask him if he could find out more info. He said the truck was bought back because the owner claims the drivers seat would move while driving. The body control module or seat control (PCM ??) had been reprogramed several times and replaced previuosly before the buyback. This truck has also had the starter and flywheel replaced under warranty. The service manager says the truck was only bought back one time even though it shows up several times in the report. The title# was the same each time, I guess It follows it throughout the report. Anyway, I think I am going to wait on what I really want. Thanks Again.
