Has anyone used this product from hoodlouvers.com and if so how hard were they to install?

The concept is sound, but they look like crap in the photo. I also would be concerned about water getting in.

If they really assist in engine cooling hoods would be louvered from the factory. Best to have air flow over the engine, down and out rather than in thru the grill and up over the engine and out. Esp at highway speed.

Agreed, but when you are stopped in traffic, they would help dissipate the heat.

Why didn't they make the louvers on the new LMM's functional, if they work so well.

I don't know, they look kind of cheesy to me. If they were actually stamped out louvers in the surface of the hood they may look OK though. Just my opinion.

If your idling at a stop light with the functional hood louvers with the air conditioner on , you could risk sucking the engine fumes into your cab through the HVAC intake. just my thoughts again Charlie
