I searched the forum here for any information I could get on Flo-Pro exhaust over the last week. I purchased a 4 in downpipe back kit from a local dealer then started finding alot of posts about the product having fitment issues, not sounding good, etc.
The kit I bought is stainless steel but does not have a tip. Construction is very nice, welds look great. Directions that come with it have you cutting off the stock exhaust system, which is not needed. I unbolted the flange mount for the downpipe then unbanded the pipe just behind the cat. Twist the cat and pipe away from the hanger mounted on the transmission. Remove the transmission exhaust hanger (2 bolts) then you can twist the cat almost 360 degs towards the driver side of truck and pull forward. Then reinstall the transmission hanger.
The rest of the exhaust can be taken out without removing the shock or rear wheel. Jack the back of the truck up enough for the axle to drop. Then place another jack on the passenger side frame approximately where the cat used to be and raise. From there you can slide the exhaust forward and out of the vehicle. You will need to twist it around the shock a little, but can be done. Total time for this 1 hour.
The Flo-Pro exhaust is the easiest exhaust I have installed (im sure they all are though) Fitment was perfect, hangers matched up great. Total install time 45 mins.
If you prefer a little bit quiter exhaust at idle and just driving around town, this would be one of them. Has a nice tone to it, turbo whine is up but nothing ungodly. When you step into it, has a nice rumble and Im sure will grab the attention of anyone within 30 feet of you (including police).
Sorry I did not take any pics of the install, etc. But wanted to pass along some good info about Flo-Pro. I priced out a bunch of other exhausts and got this one for just a few more $$ than a cat back system that the others offered.
