IM LOOKING FOR A 4 INCH EXHAUST. IVE HAD THE LOUD EXHASTS, DRIVES U BATTY WHILE TOWING. WANTING TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS AN EXHAUST AND MUFFLER THAT SOUNDS STOCK AND HELPS COOL EGTS.:cool:

QwkTrip 07-04-2008, 01:06 PM My 4" turbo back exhaust is terribly loud. It was suggested in a different post that I switch to the Hushpower muffler. Haven't done it yet because I'm still weighing my options. I'm considering using two mufflers in series. It's the same cost to me either way since I have to purchase a new muffler regardless. Not entirely sure about the impact on EGT. But, I have been in many duramaxes, powerstrokes, and cummins. Weather they were my own, works, or a buddies. There isn't really much sound till you go strait pipe. To me anyways. Just my .02. Qwktrip-two mufflers??? Why don't you just leave it stock? Other wise i'll sell ya my muffler from my corsa set up if you want a nice sounding muffled system. The truck had this exhaust system when I bought it. I don't have the factory exhaust and I don't want to go back to it either. I'd like to keep all the attributes that go with the larger exhaust except the noise. I'm guessing that the 2nd muffler would quiet things down substantially and otherwise go unnoticed? It's a concept anyway... still not sure what I'll do. I'm an engineer so you know I have to think about it for 2+ years before I do anything. | ||
