I am want to get the shift kit and was wondering on the cost to have someone put it in? Anyone around Evansville,Indiana? I might put a converter in later just dont have the money right now. We got a new house and wife wants new furniture. I know I could pull the tranny later to put a converter in. I just want to run my power pup on 95 safely right now and maybe upgrade to 150hp.
thanks for any info

if your paying someone your going to be spending most of your $$$ on the R&R of the trans. You will eat this cost twice if you put a convereter in it later. You will also piss off your converetr running at 150 program. IMO save up for a quality single disk and do it all at once. Plus the cost of fluid to R&R your trans 2 times. probably close to 100$ in wasted fluid if you are running synthetic.
The shiftkit is actually pretty easy to do. I guy could do it himself if he had the tools, a good trany shop or other shop should be fine doing it.
There are a few shops pretty close to you. Eric in grandrapids MI, and Hucksdorph in SE WI. Duno who else is fairly local.

Transmission Specialists, New Castle, Indiana. They are a supporting vendor here. Kenny can help you you out.

Agree with ratlover do it all at one time. While it's true the shift kit is easy to do; that is only after the trans is out--that in itself is no easy task. The Allison weighs 330 lbs, without a converter.
