: Good bye old gal, Hello Foxy!!
Station10fd 02-23-2005, 10:33 PM The lovely wifey and I said our goodbye's to our 5 year old Jayco yesterday. The 285 bunkhouse model has served us well. We are graduating our youngest this year, and the kids just don't seem to enjoy camping with the old folks as much as they used to.

The Wife and I went looking for something with a little bit more room, and boy, did we ever find it!!

A 2003 Arctic Fox, model 34-5B, http://www.northwoodmfg.com/345b.htm, a whopping 34 feet long. The only thing that has us concerned is the pin weight. 2360 lbs unloaded    . Me thinks I smell a dually in the near future :ro) :ro) :ro)
wbens 02-23-2005, 11:01 PM Looks good. I think a dually would look very very nice pulling that down the highway.

john@dps 02-23-2005, 11:07 PM Nice rig, congratulations.
Wellfooled 02-24-2005, 11:37 AM Looks very good to me. And I bet it would look even better with a dually.
Have a question though. Checked out your link, and the floorplan from Northwood shows the trailer as having 3 slides (living, bed, kitchen), but your photos show a 2 slider (living, kitchen). Do they make two versions, and do they call both of them 34 5B?
diesel man 02-24-2005, 12:13 PM why a dually ? his truck will handle it just fine . looks good .
Sherm 02-24-2005, 12:30 PM Have the police hassled you about parking over the sidewalk yet??
Station10fd 02-24-2005, 03:57 PM Wellfooled, the side showing is the kitchen slide. On the other side of the trailer is the living room slide and the bedroom slide.
Sherm, no problem with the police yet, the nieghbor kid just has a huge knot on his head  . On the other side of my yard is another driveway leading to the backyard RV pad. It's parked there because that is where the unbelivable amount of stuff we took out of the Jayco is . The garage is literally full!!
Station10fd 02-24-2005, 06:20 PM AHHHH.........Wellfooled I figured out your question. The top pic is the jayco we traded, the second pic is the new 5er
Tsckey 02-28-2005, 05:07 PM Congratulations! You're going to love the trailer. Northwood makes terrific products. We use our TT every chance we get.

Station10fd 02-28-2005, 05:51 PM Tsckey, the more I piddle around in the trailer, the more I realize, this is one beefy and well built trailer :)

Bethron1 03-01-2005, 06:42 PM 2360 lbs. pin weight is a piece of cake for that Dmax. For being 34 ft. long I'd suspect more that 2360#. How much does it weight empty?Just in time for spring, Huh.
Happy Trails Traveling!!!!!!

Tsckey 03-01-2005, 07:36 PM Mike,
We've put nearly 7k miles on ours since buying it last March. We go where we want to go, on or off the beaten path. It has held up very well. We love it the more we use it. It's very comfortable, even "homey" (and no, we don't live in a trailer park).:)

Station10fd 03-01-2005, 08:37 PM We're not sure on the actual wieght yet. We're taking a shake down trip to Palo Duro canyon this weekend, and I'm gonna run her across the scales to see how overloaded I am
