What would all of you recomend for oil changes? When it was my daily driver I changed the oil every 5,000 miles. Now that it has been sitting I am wondering when I should do it? It will be a year before I get 5,000 miles on it. I drive it at least once a week. Just to keep it from sitting to long. The dealer wants 3,000 or 3 months. They want to make $.

I would think that the crankcase oil is fine as long as you start the motor up now and again to circulate it. Mine sits up to three weeks at a time. I usually start it up once a week for 5 mins. or so, then back on the solar charger it goes. My normal oil changes when it was a daily driver was 10-15K and also changed out the spin on trans filter as well.

I do turn it on, Like I said I usually drive it to the park with the kids once a week to get it moving. How much is Diesel in AZ? Solar charger? Whats that?

Running around $4.60 here in Tucson. He means a solar battery charger to keep the batteries charged up. I will be doing the same thing soon, plan on changing once a year as I probably won't see 3K miles a year.
